Professional Organizations

The Company recognizes that professional responsibility may involve membership in professional organizations. Attendance at meetings or functions and participation in committee work is sometimes necessary during working hours. Time spent in these areas must be planned in advance so that normal duties can still be maintained. Also, these activities must be approved in writing by the immediate supervisor/Management. Approved time will be considered part of the workday and will not affect pay. The Company may support employee membership, subject to the following rules:

Employees must submit full details prior to joining and/or renewal;

Only professional associations will be considered and only if appropriate to the employee's key function in the Company;

Only one membership per employee will be considered where a membership fee/dues are involved;

Specific approval must be sought to cover any additional expenses, which may be incurred as a result of membership.
