Overtime
Non Exempt Employees (hourly)
Earned overtime for nonexempt employees is all overtime the employee is required to work in excess of eight (8) hours in a worday or forty (40) regular hours per calendar week (Monday thru Sunday)
Overtime time is calculated automatically in the punch clock on the Graphtek Portal.
Exempt Employees (salary)
Earned overtime for exempt (salaried) employees is overtime authorized by a management.
Casual overtime is the time exempt employees invest in their own time and the Company's success. In general, up to five (5) hours of casual overtime or up to forty-five (45) work hours per week must be given by exempt employees before the Company judges them eligible for authorized overtime or compensatory time
The Company does not encourage overtime, but recognizes that it is the nature of our business that there should occasionally be a need for overtime.
Exempt and nonexempt employees need prior approval from their supervisors before they may work overtime. The following circumstances will ordinarily result in overtime/comp time being granted:

It occurs on a weekend or after forty (40) hours of work during a regular work week;

The project is billable to a client; and

The employee does not receive a commission or other compensation..
